A Kiss That Stops Time
Though many years have slipped away,
my mind still drifts back to you.
Time falters—
then I see you,
and for a heartbeat, everything stills.
Evening drapes over us,
a lingering, hungry kiss
that mends the rough edges of the day.
In the dark,
you appear—
arms pressing me close,
hearts tangled, warmth seeping through.
I never wanted it to end—
oh, sweat, soft and sticky,
skin against skin,
breath mingling, shivering.
I didn’t know how to hold you,
hands trembling,
searching, unsure where to rest.
So young, so fumbling,
already tasting the ache,
already numb in ways I shouldn’t have been.
