Desire
A fire burns,
inside me,
but nothing shows.
Just our eyes—
a flicker
in a crowded room.
No words.
Just silence.
Glances, hesitant,
slipping past each other
like shadows.
I look away—
because I should,
because I don’t want to break it,
but still… I wait.
Two strangers,
and yet
known somehow,
pulled into a rhythm
we haven’t named.
I step back.
Our eyes meet again.
A small acknowledgment—
tender,
fragile,
awakening something
we might never speak.
A sigh… soft
drifts between us,
secrets that we don’t say
but somehow feel.
A moment suspended,
alive.
It lingers
like a song
half-remembered,
half-forgotten,
and somehow… ours.
